SP Chief Marketing Officer Ian Whitehall has announced the appointment of Patrick Riley to the new position of Director of Marketing — Lab Apparatus.
In this role Riley will be responsible for overseeing the planning, development and execution of the Lab Apparatus portfolio and associated commercial marketing initiatives needed to execute and achieve SPs strategic priorities and financial goals. The SP Lab Apparatus portfolio is comprised of SP Bel-Art® labware, SP Wilmad-LabGlass scientific and OEM glassware and SP Ableware® healthcare brands.
Most recently Riley was Strategic Portfolio Director for Production Supplies with Avantor. Working for Avantor and other industry leaders in the scientific and chemical markets, Riley has previously held roles in global commercial marketing, product management and demand planning. He holds a M.S. in Biology as well as an M.B.A. and served as an officer in the US Navy, five years as active duty, and then an additional 7 years in the reserves.
