Occupational monitoring of airborne polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) requires highly sensitive methods capable of detecting sub-nanogram concentrations. This investigation developed a refined extraction and evaporation protocol using the Genevac EZ-2 Envi system. Controlled vacuum evaporation with a 2-pentanol keeper prevented analyte loss, achieving recoveries exceeding 90% even for the most volatile PAHs. Validation confirmed excellent repeatability and standard deviation performance, establishing the method as a robust analytical procedure for low-level workplace exposure assessment.
