Join us for a deep dive into efficient peptide purification workflows for pharmaceutical applications. This webinar explores how Prep HPLC and flash chromatography can be seamlessly integrated with solvent removal and lyophilization to produce high-purity, dry peptide products at scale.
We cover:
- HPLC applications: optimizing acetonitrile/water gradients for peptide purification, recovering acetonitrile, and preparing samples for lyophilization
- Flash chromatography applications: strategies for solvent recycling and obtaining dry products using mixtures of organic solvents
- Distillation techniques: practical considerations for acetonitrile-water mixtures and multi-solvent eluents, including sensor modes, bath temperature, vacuum settings, and distillate/residue management
- End-to-end workflows: leveraging Heidolph’s large-scale rotary evaporator and automated system, and the Hull LyoStar 4.0 for streamlined downstream processing
Gain insight into scaling chromatography workflows while minimizing bottlenecks, maximizing solvent recovery, and achieving stable, high-quality dry peptide products.
Nathaniel Kunzer is the North American product specialist for Heidolph’s Rotary Evaporation line. He has spent ten years working with benchtop and automated 50+L evaporators for both discovery and process scale. He is based out of Wood Dale, IL at the Heidolph North America’s headquarters.
Ian Schmitz, obtained his PhD in Biochemistry in 2005 from Rush University in Chicago, with a focus on Osteoarthritis. He has been with SP for almost 11 years, initially starting as the New England Regional Sales Manager. Since mid-2020, Ian has served as a Product Manager, overseeing various product lines, ranging from Freeze Drying to Thermal Equipment. Currently, he is the Product Manager for Service and Training.
