Re: Update COVID-19 – SP Preparedness statement
As we all continue to navigate the changes brought about as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, I wanted to provide a short update on SP and our response as an essential business. We know that many of our customers are relying on SP products and we thank you for your trust and partnership during these challenging times.
All SP locations continue to be fully operational. This has been in large part due to proactive planning on the part of our team, continued efforts to meet and exceed all local requirements for protection of our in-house workers and the phenomenal attitude of our employees to get the job done.
This includes careful management of our supply chain and forecasting to minimize disruptions to instock availability and shipping, as well as hiring where warranted. We also continue to re-evaluate work flows in order to compress lead times and meet increased demand in particular, demand related to our freeze dryer products for the development and production of novel diagnostics and vaccines.

This webinar attracted an unprecedented number of participants from across the globe and is now available on demand in our on-line learning center with additional COVID-19 and general diagnostic and vaccine development webinars to follow.
While it is not business as usual, we are creating a new normal that is working. We recognize that the current COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic and its long term potential impact are of significant concern throughout the world. This is a rapidly changing situation and SP is actively engaged in monitoring and appropriately responding to reliable information as it is received.
SP has a core response team in place who is meeting daily to cascade vital information throughout our organization to assure that our global manufacturing, commercial and logistics organizations have the most up-to-date information and are taking necessary steps to keep our employees safe as well as work through any challenges that could potentially pose a disruption to our business and commitment to servicing our customers. Paramount to our planning is recognition of the work that many of our customers are doing on the front lines and within research to minimize the impact of, manage care to those impacted and find solutions to combat this virus. We are grateful and committed to supporting your needs.
Our global operations team continues to communicate regularly with our supply and logistics partners to capture updated information so we are best prepared to leverage and deploy redundancy provisions should they be needed.
Where feasible all SP personnel are now working remote and to protect our in-house team members Essential Visitor Guidelines have been put into place. Our SP team travel policy is being regularly reviewed and updated to follow the most current guidance from the US, UK, and Spanish governments regarding travel to and within various regions of the world impacted by the COVID-19 (Coronavirus). Though our communication channels may be different, our team is available regular business hours and your SP Channel Manager will work with you to address any current and on-going needs during this unprecedented time.
