WARMINSTER, PA – SP Industries, Inc. (SP), a leading global provider of fill-finish drug manufacturing solutions, lyophilizers, and laboratory equipment and supplies, is proud to be recognized by EcoVadis, one of the world’s most trusted providers of business sustainability ratings, with a Bronze Medal, placing us within the top 35% of companies assessed globally for Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) maturity.

EcoVadis awards medals and badges to organizations that complete the EcoVadis assessment process and demonstrate maturity across its comprehensive sustainability methodology. This methodology evaluates organizational sustainability using three foundational pillars: PoliciesActions, and Results.

Building on these pillars, the EcoVadis methodology incorporates a broad set of management indicators, including the strength of documented commitments, the implementation of sustainability programs, measurable performance outcomes, and external verification through independent sources such as NGOs and global media databases. Assessments are tailored to each company’s industry, size, and geographic risk profile, and all submitted documentation is reviewed by sustainability experts to ensure traceability, transparency, and rigor.

Based on this methodology, EcoVadis awarded SP a Bronze Medal and highlighted several strengths in our sustainability practices, including:

  • Foundational sustainable procurement practices — including supplier assessments, a supplier code of conduct, and REACH-related compliance monitoring
  • Comprehensive environmental policies — covering energy use, GHG emissions, water, chemicals, waste, and end-of-life product management
  • Measurable reduction programs — including renewable energy adoption, waste-stream mapping, hazardous-materials controls, and material efficiency improvements
  • Robust labor and human rights systems — with structured safety programs, grievance mechanisms, career development practices, and diversity reporting
  • Strong ethics governance — including anti-corruption controls, data-protection measures, whistleblower channels, and employee compliance training

These findings reflect SP’s commitment to transparent reporting, continuous improvement, and alignment with global sustainability standards such as SASB, GRI, the GHG Protocol, and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
